In the 4-H Clover Connection, Montgomery County 4-H Council Officers Savannah, Lauren, Gabby, and Seth discussed the basics of 4-H including the requirements to join a 4-H Club and what 4-H is. They also talked about their favorite 4-H projects and activities like 4-H Roundup, Food Show, 4-H camps, and leadership activities. They also talked about community service projects they do as a 4-H member like a pet supply drive, clothing drive, volunteering at soup kitchens, and making cards for soldiers. They gave a highlight report of recent 4-H contests like District and State 4-H Roundup including how well Montgomery County 4-H’ers placed and scholarships earned by members. They shared their favorite activities in 4-H like going to club meetings, competing in 4-H contests during the year, and getting to go to 4-H Leadership Lab at Texas A&M in Galveston where they got to scuba dive and tour a sea turtle facility. They hope to encourage other young people to check out 4-H and explore the over 40 project activities they can chose from while gaining leadership and service skills.
