Karen Oswald a Senior Evidence Specialist and Laten Print Examiner with Suffolk County Police ID section gave a presentation on identifying fingerprints from photographs. Using a photograph that a child predator had taken during the assault of a child showed the suspect’s hand and more importantly a print. A detective took this photo to Latent Print Examiner to see if she was able to use it to identify the suspect in the photo. This interview was conducted at the International Association for Identification Conference in which Karen was a presenter.
