Marieda Kilgore is premiering her directorial debut of the newest play “25th Anniversary of the Putnum County Spelling Bee” with the Players Theatre Company on Friday, March 9 at the Owen Theatre in Conroe. Audience participation is part of the performance and of course adds to the fun!

Don Hampton is the director for Rising Stars and Legends of Texas- a week long festivity with a virtual smorgasbord of Fine Art offerings from painting and sculpture to poetry, theatre and music, culminating with the Young Texas Artist Music Competition Finalist Concert on March 10th at the Historic Crighton Theatre.

Susie Pokarski, Director of the Young Texas Artists Music Competition was joined by her 2 Chairs of the gala-Mimi Sadler and Garlaine Kelly. YTA is a classical music competition for ages 18-30 who are either residents of the state or studying at a Texas music school. It is the only competition in Texas with 4 divisions-voice, piano, strings, Winds, Brass, Percussion, Harp & Guitar. Many progress to professional musicians and win Grammys!
Bach, Beethovan, and Barbecue is the gala preceding the finalist competition to raise funds for the competition.
