Operation Pets Alive saves the dogs and cats. and Bears Etc rescues Big Cats, Bears, and exotic animals from the pet trade.
Segment 1:
Operation Pets Alive all-volunteer organization striving the county to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter shelters and increase the number that leave the shelter in forever homes. Adopt, foster, neuter/spay.
Segment 2:
The mission of Bears, Etc. is to set up a Bear and Exotic Animal Rescue Sanctuary in Montgomery County, connecting people with nature through education and awareness. The hope is to build the nation’s first ultramodern Bear Sanctuary, supplying a safe place for neglected, abused, and unwanted bears, tigers, and other exotic animals who are a part of the exotic pet trade. The sanctuary would supply a permanent refuge for displaced, captive-raised exotic animals kept as “pets” or retired from performance.
