Kati Krouse, Executive Director of Bears, ETC is having a FUNDraiser OctorBEARfest on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Montgomery to help Bears Etc. secure a property to provide permanent placement for abused and neglected bears that have been part of the exotic pet trade. There will be a BBQ cook off, crafters/ shopping Area, Bounce Houses, bake sale, wine pull, and raffles throughout the day.

Claire Lindsay is the democrat candidate for JCP of Precinct 3 in Montgomery County. Claire is a native-born Texan and graduated in the second graduating class from The Woodlands High School, graduating magna cum laude. Education includes Trinity University and NY LAW. Work experience in Public Advocates Office, Assistant Director of Development for the University of Texas Medical School-Houston, private law practice representing children and parents with CPS.

Amber Gong is with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County. They just wrapped up their Annual Bookmark Contest with entries from K-8th grade students depicting ways to resolve conflicts peacefully. Oct 19 at Judge Hamilton’s Court will be the award ceremony on Conflict Resolution Day. The 3D Bookmark Collages will be displayed at The Woodlands Arts Council Spotlight on the Arts Gallery in The Woodlands Mall (2nd floor near the Food Court) on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
