Don’t miss Monica Lynn on Lone Star Country Nights every Monday and Wednesday, from 7pm to 9pm!
As the newest member of Lone Star Country Nights, Monica is also new to radio. She believes radio is meant to be part of her life journey and is excited to see where this adventure will take her.
Monica feels that female artists are under-appreciated and so she decided to start ‘Women of Country Wednesday.’ As part of the format for the Wednesday LCN show, she highlights female traditional and local country artists and is excited about providing on-air opportunities for local artists.
During her time with Lone Star Community Radio, Monica has come to have a greater appreciation for the artists and songwriters who share their gifts and hearts with us and has thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet some of them.
Monica brings a variety of life experiences to the table which she believes will help her in this new role. She is multi-passionate and this has lead her to tackle other ventures. Some of these include establishing a non-profit, managing a food pantry, overseeing a women’s shelter, and becoming a massage therapist.
Though she was born in Dallas, most of Monica’s history is in Houston and the Conroe area. Montgomery County is special to her because it is where she met her husband of 19 years. Together they have raised a blended family. Time with loved ones and her pets are her favorite pursuits. She also enjoys coffee shop hopping, social media, practicing marksmanship, and helping her husband with his BBQ competition events.
