Joe Michels has lived, worked, and served in Montgomery County for over 30 years. He was mayor of Oak Ridge North for many years and also served on the CISD Board of Trustees. He worked with many local community organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, and Woodlands Water Arts Council. He is an attorney in private practice. He married his wife, Gail, and 1979 and they have two daughters who attended CISD schools throughout their grade school time.
